We love finding new playgrounds to play at around Edmonton so when we saw Avonmore playground after getting ice cream one evening I knew we had to stop!
The Rope Play Area At Avonmore Playground & More
This playground has a few areas to play which include a larger play structure to climb and run around, a spray park, toddler area, and of course the rope structure.
The rope structure is what sets this park apart from the others! With several areas to test your strength and balance – if you’ve got a climber they will love this area.
While this is something that my 4-year-old loved there were some areas that he couldn’t reach – just something to think about for little ones.
You can find Avonmore Playground at 7902 73 Avenue Northwest. Want to explore other places to play? Follow along on YouTube or check out the list of playgrounds on the blog.

My oldest daughter attends Avonmore school so I’m a bit biased when I say that I think it’s one of the best parks in the city, but I still stand by that statement! I remember the water park before the playground was updated, and it wasn’t bad at all, but nothing compared to how fantastic it is now! Avonmore school is also updating their tarmac with a playground for younger children, which is even more to look forward to!

Christine, your post is fantastic! There are several locations to play on this ground, including a more extensive play structure to scale and run around on, a spray park, and, of course, the rope structure. The rope architecture is what distinguishes this park from the others. In my opinion, it is necessary to offer obstacles during play for children to test their abilities and have fun, and the playground is the right venue to do so.
