STEAM Toys With The Wonder Box Monthly Subscription Box + Giveaway

Recently I was contacted by Wonder Box a new STEAM toy monthly subscription box,  to see if myself and my kids would be interested in reviewing it. My kids love STEAM-related activities so I knew this would be something they would LOVE!

What Was In Our Wonder Box

For the October box, we received a Doodling Robot which is a battery-operated, mechanical robot that once put together colours in circles while vibrating. This was the first toy that we opened and it was not as easy to put together as I anticipated, mainly because of the tiny screws and bolts.

After some organizing and finding some really small tools in my husband’s toolbox we were on track. Included with the box were also 3 large pieces of paper so that the Doodling Robot could work its magic, although we’ve already used all that up and are currently utilizing the packing paper that has been sitting in my garage for a few years.

The other toy that was included was the Engino Play to Invent System which is one box of many loose parts that lets you create up to 30 different models. The box includes instructions for 4 different models and the rest of the instructions are available in 3D format online accessible on a computer or your mobile device.

The one thing that I REALLY liked about the Engino Play to Invent System is the Snap-Fit System which makes it super easy to put together and take apart without feeling like you’re going to break something. For anyone that does struggle an extraction tool is also available for added assistance.

How Wonder Box Works

Wonder Box is best suited for kids 7-12 years and so the first thing you are prompted to do is to choose whether you’re looking for ages 7-9 years or 10-12 years. This is where they will pick the STEAM 2 toys based on their monthly theme that are best suited for the age of the recipient!

Next, you will be prompted to provide your child’s name. This is because they send a small personalized letter for the child receiving Wonder Box. It’s something that was so small but my kids loved it!

There are 3 different price plans that are available for you to choose from which are:

  • $65/month ($780/year)
  • $189 billed every 3 months ($756/year)
  • $360 billed bi-annually ($720/year)

Use coupon code CHRISTINE15 to save 15% on the first order on any subscription

Once you have made that selection and have entered your mailing and payment details you’re finished.

The billing cycle is on the 1st of each month and the Wonder Box will ship out on the 15th of the month.

Thoughts & Suggestions…

When it comes to these toys that require tinier tools like a smaller Philips, having it included in your box would be super helpful. Another great tool to add would be something to help maneuver the wires for battery power. Other than that, I am so pleased with this box and can’t wait for the next one to arrive.
