New Year’s Eve Downtown Festival & Fireworks
Join the fun inside the Federal Building and in the pedways, for activities the whole family can enjoy, including live music, puppet shows, roving performers, games, crafts, art installations, and more! The celebration continues outdoors on the Capital Plaza with fire pits, bannock-making and main stage performances by The Tsunami Brothers, Jenesia, and Tyler Shaw.

Annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show
For another year, we will kick off the New Year with a “bang”! The New Year’s Fireworks display is a FREE fun-filled family event taking place at the Greenfield Community League Hall. The hall will be open at 7 PM where free hot chocolate will be offered to everyone (and for the adults, Baileys available for a toonie!). The fireworks display will take place in the Greenfield soccer fields (behind Greenfield Elementary) at approximately 9 PM. More details about tobogganing, ice skating, an outdoor bonfire and activities for the kids to come closer to the date. Stay tuned!

New Year’s Festival – Sherwood Park
Ring in 2020 with FREE family fun. This year, wear your best Aloha or floral shirt on top of layers to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities. Activities include snowshoeing, remote control bobsled races, mechanical surfing, glow and themed crafts, LED and fire dancers, cabane à sucre, shinny hockey, skating, wagon rides, and more! Warm-up with hot chocolate in either the Broadmoor Lake Picnic shelter or Community Centre Agora, where you can also enjoy performances by children’s entertainers TEAM T&J at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m.

Family Fest – Stony Plain
Stony Plain’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration features an exciting array of activities suitable for all ages. Gather at Heritage Park to experience a live DJ with family dance, horse-drawn sleigh rides, bonfires, and skating. The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display. The event is free to attend, participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Parkland Food Bank.

New Years Day Family Fun Event
Bring your own hot chocolate! Sleigh Rides & firepits begin at 3, although sometimes even a tad earlier. Sleigh rides shut down at 5 PM sharp (because the horses need to get home before the fireworks begin), and fireworks begin at about 5:15 and end around 5:30.
