This winter you need to add eating in a GeoDome on the Riverside Bistro Patio to your list of things to do with the family!
Booking A GeoDome At Riverside Bistro
It’s important to know that if the temperatures go below -10 the GeoDomes will not be available. If this happens, your reservation will move inside.
Valet parking is available for $5 – this is the cheapest parking option because paying the parking lot fees for 2 hours is $14. Go with the Valet if you’re driving here.
There are heaters in the GeoDomes however it is still a little nippy in there so make sure to dress in a few different layers so you can stay warm. They also have a few blankets available in each of the igloos.
Booking a GeoDome needs to be done by phone, by calling (780) 423-9999 EXT 4747. They are booked for 1.5 hr time slots and there are 3 GeoDome’s available that can each fit up to 6 people. As a family of 5, we felt that we had more than enough room.
There is a dedicated patio menu that includes a few different sides and entree’s to choose from, you can also order the other menu available. We kept it simple and ordered some fries, nachos, and wings.
What We Thought
We arrived at Riverside Bistro when it was light out and left when it was dark. I’d have to say my favourite time while there was when it was dusk out which was around 4:45 pm.
The prices for food were on par with other restaurants that we typically go to and while there is no dedicated kids menu, we were able to find options that the kids would enjoy.
Riverside Bistro is located at 1 Thornton Crt in the Courtyard by Marriott hotel (right next to the Shaw Conference Centre). You can read more about the restaurant here.

Was there a charge to book the igloos or a minimum spend required? Thanks!
