You’re invited to enjoy the artistic panache, cultural stories and virtual workshops at Deep Freeze: A Byzantine Winter Fête, presented by Arts on the Ave.
Deep Freeze: A Byzantine Winter Fête
Taking place (entirely outside) from February 5th-14th, this year’s theme is Fiddle & Fables and will see the seven Alberta Avenue district community leagues, as well as Borden Park, transformed into a Winter Wonderland.
Each community league location will feature fables from a community member and will be represented by installations, sound, music, ice sculptures, and more. All of the leagues that are participating will also be hosting Fiddle and Skate from 1 pm-9 pm on February 6th, 7th, 13th, & 14th. (Current AHS & City of Edmonton guidelines will be followed)
At Borden Park, along with several light installations, you will find the Deep Freeze Big Screen which will show a 90-minute loop of performances from past events.
All details including hours of operation for each location, where to find each of the installations, featured fables, and more can be found in the downloadable map and program on the Deep Freeze website
