Have you had the chance to check out John E. Poole Wetlands?
Explore John E. Poole Wetlands
Connected to Lois Hole Provincial Park and on the shore of Big Lake, the interpretive wetland boardwalk spans 350 m which is surrounded by a marsh that is home to waterfowl, shorebirds, songbirds and insects. Big Lake is also globally recognized as an important area that is a critical habitat for the thousands of nesting and migrating waterfowl and shorebirds.

The closest parking can be found at Lois Hole Provincial Park (1 Ray Gibbon Dr, St. Albert) however if you want to park a little further and enjoy a playground as well you can also park at 107 Ray Gibbon Dr, St. Albert.
Want to explore more trails? Lois Hole Provincial Park connects to the City of St. Albert’s already established Red Willow Trail, which I also highly recommend checking out.
