Even though the air is starting to get a little bit crisper, we’ve got some fun fall road trips planned (and some involve our trailer..)
For us, it use to be that all of our fun trips were planned in the summer, but with such a short summer and some amazing things happening in other seasons we started to plan for them too.
9 Fun Fall Road Trips to take from Edmonton with the kids
See some beautiful waterfalls
Pack a picnic and take in the breathtaking sights of the Athabasca Falls in Jasper. With trails throughout you can also see how the powerful falls have shaped the rocks there today.
Search for Bison
Wih a few months still left to take advantage of free admission to Canada Parks, take a scenic drive at Elk Island park, go for a hike on one of the many trails, or even plan to be there a night for some star gazing.
With a handful of Corn Mazes to pick from across Alberta, there are a few located close to Edmonton or within a 2-hour drive.
See historic planes, automobiles, and more
Catch some old style cartoons, play in the vintage toy room, and check out vintage planes, historical buildings, and more at the Reynold Museum. When you’re done there make sure you take a drive to Huckleberry’s Cafe in Wetaskiwin and try the Dill Pickle soup. Yum!

Go back 69 million years and learn about the pack of dinosaurs that roamed our province plus explore other dinosaurs and fossils that go back even further in time at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller.

With 11 different learning exhibits that feature swings, slides, giant animatronic spiders, bats, and frogs, trampolines, and so much more Granary Road is one place that you have to visit.
