There are many family-friendly Canada Day celebrations happening around Edmonton which include pancake breakfasts, carnivals, and of course fireworks!

Featuring high-flying acrobatics, death-defying tricks, clowning and towering feats of strength, teetering towers of balanced bodies, extreme bending and devilishly precarious aerials

Sand on Whyte – June 28th – July 7th
This year’s theme is More Than a Feeling and there are 7 awesome sand carvings for you to check out. Open from 10am-10pm admission is by donation.
Green Shack Programs – Starts July 2nd
Get active and join in on games, sport, crafts, music, drama and special events daily at the Edmonton Green Shack programs. Taking place throughout Edmonton, check out the programs in your community.
Mermaid Tales Aboard the Santa Maria – July 2nd
Enter a world of Mermaid magic with storytimes, songs and dances for your little ones. Each week brings new activities and takes place from 10am-12pm. $2/admission applies.
Free Family Nature Nights – July 3rd
This weeks theme is Wildlife in the City and is taking place at Hawrelak Park, 9330 Groat Road NW. Registration is from 6:00 pm – 6:25 pm and the events run from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Safari Jeff: The Animology Tour – July 5th – 7th
Join Safari Jeff at Londonderry Mall East Court as he features live animals but a multimedia outlet of large flat screen TV’s, lights, sound, huge original artwork and creative props.
Edmonton Street Performers – July 5th – 14th
Take in live performances at Wilbert Mcintyre Park. Admission is by donation!
Breakfast on a Dairy Farm – July 6th
See what it’s like to be a dairy farmer at the free Breakfast on a Dairy Farm event! Start the day off with a hot breakfast, take in a farm tour, and enjoy other family-friendly activities.
Fun in the Sun Block Party – July 6th
This event is free to attend – consumables, raffles, and 50/50 cost money.
Family Fishing Weekends – July 6th & 7th
Grab your fishing poles and enjoy some fishing! No fishing licence required!
