Last year when we were camping at Red Lodge Provincial Park we drive past, DINOS Centre in Innisfail, however, we didn’t get a chance to check it out because it was closed. Since last year it was on my list of places to check out and that is what we did recently.
What You Need To Know Before Visiting DINOS Centre
Before starting any of the activities we sat down and enjoyed lunch from their Cafe. The kids enjoyed grilled cheese and Kris and I enjoyed some soup! Made in-house their food was quite delicious and reasonably priced.
Up next we played a round of mini-golf which was perfect for the whole family. There are 18 holes, and the mini-golf course was pretty easy to navigate for all 3 of the kids and let’s be honest me too… The cost for mini-golf is $9.52 for adults, 7.62 for seniors and youth 13-17 yrs, and $4.76 for children 4-12yrd. Children under 4 are free.
After our game of minigolf, we played a game of laser tag which is available for kids 5+ to play. (Kids that are 5 & 6 must be accompanied by an adult). The cost per person to play was $9.52 and for anyone looking to play more than one game discounts apply.
When you are finished playing laser tag you exit into the Bible History Museum which has some interesting things to see such as the tornado machine. The whole DINOS Centre is actually based on the creationist theory which I am not familiar with but it was interesting to learn about some of the things that they believe such as dinosaurs being on the earth 6000 years ago. Admission is free when you purchase admission to other activities.
There are 3 mechanical dinosaurs that you can ride on and move which my older 2 thought was cool but Finley’s mind was blown. To be honest I’ve never seen anything like that before anywhere so it was pretty awesome. Make sure you have some change for these for sure!!
It wasn’t super warm outside so we didn’t get a chance go to the driving range. The cost for that is $7.14 for a small basket (45) and $10.00 for a large basket. Clubs can also be rented for under $1.
All in all the visit to DINOS Centre was pretty awesome and the only thing that I would change is offering bundled discounts for people looking to experience all paid activities or even a family admission rate. To learn more you can visit www.dinoscentre.ca
